Gift Specialists Inc Employment Opportunity - Oceanside, CA Web Design - Graphics - SEO

Summary - This is an intermediate level, full-time position. You will work in a relaxed atmosphere, in comfortable clothing, while maintaining and upgrading existing web sites, producing graphics for use in web sites, products, and printed materials, and continually improving our organic search engine positioning.

Daily Job duties:

• Assisting in the design and maintenance e-commerce web sites
• Optimizing web sites for search engines
• Designing and creating graphics for web sites, products, print, etc

Occasional Job duties:

• Designing company newsletters, brochures, postcards, etc
• Working with clients to create custom design projects
• General office duties
• Assisting other team members and departments as needed

Hours and Pay - Working hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday. Starting pay will be $12/hr. Higher starting pay may be available based on experience and qualifications. Full-time employees will accrue Paid Time Off after a probationary period.

Qualifications

• Competency with Adobe CS2 - CS5 (Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver)
• Ability to design web sites using html and CSS
• Understanding of SEO/SEM principles
• Competency with Microsoft Publisher
• Excellent verbal communications skills. You will be working directly with clients occasionally
• Excellent written communication skills - spelling, grammar, creativity, etc. You will be creating web pages that need to be compelling and error free
• Ability to handle special projects with minimal supervision
• Must be 21 years or older for this position
• Honest, no criminal record, no drugs
• Valid California Drivers License with clean driving record
• Must have your own reliable transportation

The following are desirable qualifications, but not absolutely required

• Shop Site knowledge
• Javascript and php programming knowledge
• Visual Basic programming knowledge for MS Access
• Network and server knowledge
• Ability to troubleshoot computer and printer problems
