This 100% Syrah grape, grown in the Alexander Valley near Geyserville, is the Estrella River Clone on 101-14 rootstock. Owners Joe and Norma Ramazzotti have found this particular grape to be one of the most beautiful to grow here. They use this wonderful wine in all of their blends because it is so versatile. It has a smoky aroma and flavor, with a hint of dark chocolate and berries that linger on the palette forever. This wine recently won a SILVER MEDAL at the 2008 Sonoma County Harvest Fair.
