Wines made from the Tempranillo grape can be both fruity and earthy. This exceptional wine shows bold attributes of both.

Immediate blackberry, raspberry, earth, and tobacco tones, with a striking new brick color and enticing aromas of coffee beans, chocolate, and herbal tea. The young tannins are round and grip your mouth providing a perfect structure to the fruit. The finish is long and pleasant with the fruit components lasting in your mouth.

Extreme care was taken in being gentle to this wine. After fermentation in small 1-ton bins that were hand punched down twice per day, this 100% Tempranillo was immediately put in barrels to mature for 10 months in a combination of new and used French, American, and Hungarian oak.

Similar in climate to the Rioja and Ribera del Duero regions of Spain, the Livermore Valley is an ideal growing region for Tempranillo.
