Dark plum purple with lots of young, bright, ripe black cherry and berry fruit aromas with honeysuckle, prune, and traces of oak, butter, vanilla, and cedar. A very clean, pleasant, gentle wine, with jammy, roasted fruit flavors of plum and prune with some black pepper spice. It has a lovely medium body, fleshy and round with a good mouth feel and very good balance. This is a very well made wine that maintains exemplary varietal character.

Locatelli Winery specializes in the full-bodied red wines, for which Paso Robles is well-known throughout the world. Most of their wines are very limited in production, which allows them to pay much attention to detail.

Located as Paso Robles’ northern most winery, the winery overlooks the peaceful Salinas River Valley and historic Old Mission San Miguel.
