The Challenge:

Without corporate sponsors, the vast majority of golf tournaments would cease to exist. Therefore, it is essential to tournament directors that they keep their corporate sponsors happy and get them to return for future events.

Our client had 3 goals in mind. They wanted to: 1) Thank their valuable corporate sponsors, 2) Remind them throughout the year how much they appreciate their generous contributions, and 3) Market next year's golf tournament to their existing sponsors.

The Solution:

We combined all three needs into a single, recurring, corporate thank you gift program. And we did it within our client's budget requirements!

We delivered two bottles of fine California wine to each sponsor on a quarterly basis. Our client provided us with personalized, hand signed letters, and various other inserts to be included with each delivery.

The first delivery included a hand-signed thank you letter from our client, and a certificate from us letting the sponsor know that they would be receiving two different bottles of fine California wine each quarter throughout the year.

The second and third deliveries included additional letters from our client which not only thanked the corporate sponsors, but also started presenting information and early sign-up incentives for next year's golf tournament.

The fourth and final delivery also included a sign-up form, deadline dates, and sponsorship opportunities for the upcoming event.

This very successful example of a thank you gifting campaign that we designed and implemented for the BMW Celebrity Pro-Am Golf Tournament resulted in a very high percentage of return sponsors two years running.
